Remodeling Construction Techniques: Ideas from a Friend’s Listing, a Sunnyvale house

Two panel doors with beadboard

We loved the doors in this Sunnyvale house!

Sunnyvale house features remodeling construction idea for getting your house ready to sell

I was really impressed by what they did with this Sunnyvale house. I loved these interior doors! One of my Realtor friends has this listing and I loved how they had prepared the home to go on the market. I found these doors to be particularly exciting from a remodeling construction standpoint –typically what you will find are either flat interior doors or the 6-panel type. The style of these is 2-panel, with beadboard insets. I am such a huge fan of beadboard that they actually elevated my heart rate a bit! Thinking outside the box and choosing some unique materials when you are doing remodeling construction or getting your house ready to sell is definitely the way to go. Check these out. They can be purchased at Lowe’s, found online by doing a search for “2-panel interior door”–or ask a contractor (we have a list of recommended remodeling construction contractors).

Love how different these inexpensive doors are!

Sunnyvale house in Birdland area gets pre-housing market makeover

AFTER: Nuthatch Sunnyvale house- Front Exterior This Sunnyvale house, a Lindsay-built home in Birdland is a perfect example of a good, solid house that needed to re-invent itself before going on the housing market. Getting your house ready to sell is completely different from actually living in a home. So, there’s usually tweaking to be done – our Silicon Valley realtor team puts together a list of recommended changes and then our clients authorize how much they want to spend for the home selling process. We take it from there and manage the budget, the project, and the construction contractors. In this case, we did oversee the painting, new tile entry, new granite in the kitchen, new lighting, and a gorgeous tiled shower enclosure in the master bath. We got bids and then stayed on top of the construction contractors throughout the process. Plus, we also coordinated the cleaning, inspections, powerwashing, window-washing, and carpet cleaning. Check back in a few weeks and we’ll have the full before-after story of the house. For now, take a peek at the “end product” and let your friends and family know this Sunnyvale house is for sale! It’s $839,000 and has Laurelwood Elementary and Peterson Middle School.
